As the Institute's Deputy Director for Management and Operations, Anita Renahan-White provides management and operations oversight for all Institute activities. She manages human resources functions and assesses staff training needs. She also designs and implements management processes and procedures and ensures alignment with the organization's mission. Ms. Renahan-White contributes 15 years of experience in management best practices, project and resource planning, and IT project management. She provides subject matter expertise in projects and programs involving the Institute's Requirements Development Methodology and provides expertise in business process analysis, business process redesign, requirements definition, and logical design. For example, Ms Renahan-White directed a project to develop requirements for the Public Health Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), facilitiating 23 state and 3 local public health laboratories in a collaborative effort to develop requirements. The resultant product was endorsed by the Association of Public Health Laboratories.
Before joining the Institute, Ms. Renahan-White was Applications Director for the Business Operations and Systems team at McKesson, Inc. (formerly HBO & Company), a supply management and health-care information technology company. In this position, she managed a team of software developers, database administrators, project managers, and application support personnel, and was responsible for daily operations of the sales and marketing automation tool, customer support tool, and enterprise reporting tools.
Ms. Renahan-White received her MPH from Emory University (1993) and BA in English and Women's Studies, also from Emory (1991).
