Claudia W. Brogan brings over 20 years of experience to the role of Training Manager for the Institute. In this role, she contributes her understanding and experience in adult learning strategies to support the design and implementation of training materials and projects for Institute programs. She is responsible for directing, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive set of training programs for multiple audiences in the Institute’s projects and programs.

Prior to joining the Institute, Ms. Brogan supported CDC’s National Center for Chronic Disease and Prevention as a training advisor and project manager for the Center’s national conferences. Ms. Brogan began her professional career in university residence life supervision and leadership skills training. She served as a trainer at universities including Indiana University, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. Additionally, Ms. Brogan contributes a broad range of experience in creating training curricula for professionals, including coursework on leadership and time management, managing and supervising employees, conducting performance appraisals, and building effective work teams. She is experienced in training various configurations of learning communities, including work teams, professional organizations, and community groups.

Ms. Brogan holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre, English and Education from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of Science degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
