Funders/Partners
The Public Health Informatics Institute is funded through grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements with federal, state, and local public health agencies, health care organizations, and foundations. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation provides support for initiatives that foster collaborative and innovative approaches to health information systems solutions.
The General Services Administration (GSA) has
awarded a contract to the Public Health Informatics Institute’s
umbrella organization, The Task Force for Child Survival and Development,
under the Management, Organizational and Business Improvement Services
(MOBIS) Schedule. This contract allows the Institute to provide services
to federal agencies in a timely and simplified process. Services
under contract include consulting, facilitation, and program integration
and project management. The MOBIS contract is a task order arrangement.
It can result in the award of a delivery order under a firm fixed-price
arrangement or a labor hour-type agreement. For information, on MOBIS,
see http://www.taskforce.org/MOBIS.asp.
