Kenya HRIS/HMIS Interoperability Assessment

This project was developed to assess the opportunities for data exchange between Kenya’s Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), in order to answer questions about the relationship between health services and healthcare workers. Specifically, the project determined the feasibility of developing an interface between the Emory/Department of Nursing healthcare workers deployment database, and Capacity’s iHRIS, including the District Health Information System (DHIS), providing a detailed description and analysis of the opportunities and challenges for exchanging data, and linking the selected information systems.
